3 days in Kos Island

Day 1:

Our first stop in Greece: Kos. Beautiful island... We rented bicycles for two days and cycled around the island! Fun, but sore butt afterwards.....

Are you ready to get sore butt?

But first, some Moussaka and vino for lunch. Beautiful wine for 2.50 Euro (a glass) - already loving this island.

After lunch, we walked around a bit and came back to the hotel for a quick nap. For dinner we rode our bicycles to a nice restaurant by the beach. A nice first day!

Day 2:

After a big breakfast, we set off on a 14km bike ride to a hot spring — and back! The route was tougher than expected, with some steep uphill climbs through the mountains.

When we arrived, the place was quite busy, the water was hot and relaxing. Unfortunately, there were no toilets or changing rooms, so we had to use a small abandoned structure to change in.

The return ride was just as long, and we stopped for lunch at a local restaurant. The food was good, and the waiter was friendly, though his jokes went a bit over our heads.

Later, we visited a “mall” (more like a supermarket), picked up a few things, and headed back to the hotel. After some reading and a lukewarm shower, we went out for dinner by the beach — a lovely way to end the day. Back at the hotel, we took another (warmer!) shower before heading to bed.

There are a lot of cats on this island, including some really friendly cats at our hotel. Lucky, we love cats!

Day 3:

Time to leave this beautiful island and head to another: Santorini! After playing with the hotel cats, we packed up and went for one last lovely lunch by the water. We returned our bicycles and did some shopping (just me!) before heading to the port to catch the ferry.

Some shopping before leaving Kos!
