Wow... right? |
Day 1
We arrived in Santorini around 1 a.m. after our trip from Kos Island. Thankfully, our driver was already there waiting and quickly whisked us away to our hotel in Fira. We checked in and were in bed by 2 a.m., completely exhausted.

The next morning, we slept in a bit and woke up around 10 a.m. I hopped in the shower, only to find there wasn’t much hot water—frustrating, but I made do with a quick rinse.
After getting ready, we packed up, checked out, and headed to the nearby bus stop to check the schedule. Staying close to the station turned out to be a blessing, especially with all the luggage we were lugging around.

We stopped at a cozy restaurant nearby for lunch, then caught a bus just before 2 p.m. to our next destination: Imerovigli. The hotel there was beautiful!

During check-in, they welcomed us with traditional Greek sweets and a glass of wine—such a nice touch. We unpacked, got settled, and soaked in the relaxing atmosphere.
Dinner that night was at a charming spot called Anogi. I ordered the sea bass, and it was absolutely delicious—perfect end to a long day!
Day 2
We had a slow and relaxing start to the day, waking up around 9:40 a.m. and enjoying breakfast out on the balcony. The weather was perfect, and the view made it even better—such a lovely way to begin the morning.

After breakfast, we drove to Kamari Beach. We spent some time lounging and reading on the shore, but the water was way too cold for a swim. Still, it was peaceful just soaking up the sun.

For lunch, we stopped at a restaurant called Mamamia, where I had the eggplant dish—it was delicious!
Next, we explored the charming little village of Pyrgos Kallistis. It was quiet and serene, with winding paths, white-washed buildings, and barely any tourists. While wandering, we found a small boutique where Frode bought me the cutest yellow scarf and a pair of earrings—so adorable, I absolutely love them!

We headed back to the hotel in the evening, enjoyed a glass of wine on our balcony, and then walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner. It was a lovely way to wrap up a beautiful day.

Day 3
We woke up to a foggy morning—everything outside was misty and grey. Breakfast was served downstairs, but it was pretty chilly, so we didn’t linger too long.

Very cold.. brr... |
Afterward, we drove into Fira to pick up our ferry tickets to Athens. Once that was sorted, we strolled around the town for a bit. We made our way up near the cable car area—though we had to dodge quite a bit of donkey poop along the way!

For lunch, we decided to switch things up and ate at Asian Club. The food was just okay....
Back at the hotel, I took some time to update my blog before we headed out again, this time to Megalochori for a little drive. The village was lovely, but the weather stayed cold, so we didn’t linger too long.
Later in the evening, we walked around near our hotel and met the cutest cat that looked just like Rocky (my brother's cat) —of course, we stopped to play with him for a bit.
For dinner, we went to a nearby restaurant called Anestic, where we shared a bunch of different appetizers. It was such a fun and delicious meal.

Before calling it a night, we popped into the shop next door for some ice cream, then headed back, took warm showers, and snuggled into bed. A cozy and laid-back day overall.
Day 4
Today, we caught up with my old friend from Shanghai, Veronika. She is now married to a Greek man and has a one-year-old son. It’s been years since I last saw her, so it was really nice to catch up over some authentic Greek food for lunch!

After a lovely lunch, we set off for Perissa Beach—the weather was warm and the beach was beautiful. We took a nice stroll along the shore before heading to Red Beach, which was also really impressive.
